About Orlando Ride Guide

A service by and for Orlando theme park enthusiasts.

Enthusiasts... that's putting it mildly if you ask anyone who really knows us!  Though we like to point out that we are simply avid "fans" and not "fanatical."  It's just that our life together began as a result of a chance meeting at an Orlando theme park, so it will always hold a special place in our hearts...

We caught our first glimpse of each other at a technology conference held at the Walt Disney World Contemporary Resort in November 1992 and introduced ourselves a few days later on a post-conference Bahamas cruise. That's when we found out we lived nearly 2,000 miles apart and that both of us lived far from Florida.

Following more than a year of long-distance dating we were engaged. It was a fairy tale proposal that took place at the stroke of midnight at the foot of Cinderella's Castle (during one of our many Disney vacation / dates.) We were married a year later. And, although our wedding did not take place at DisneyWorld, the top of our wedding cake featured Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dressed in their wedding best. We always knew that the Orlando theme park area would someday be our home.

We moved to the Orlando Florida area the same year as our ten-year wedding anniversary and finally feel like we're home. Living near the theme parks allows us to take a mini vacation any time we want. Since we visit the theme parks often, our friends and family call on us for information about the rides. They want to know which rides are available at which parks, which rides are fast, which rides are dark, which rides are wet and much more.

We decided to put our technology background to good use and share this information in the form of the Orlando Ride Guide website. So courtesy of the fine folks and resources at The JBI Company, Inc., now each of our friends and family members can quickly and easily get the theme park ride information that is most important to them. Better yet, we can now share this information with anyone planning (or dreaming about) their next Orlando theme park vacation.

Everyone also wants to know our favorite Orlando theme park... without a doubt it is Epcot. Why Epcot? For our favorite new ride Soarin, our favorite restaurant San Angel Inn at the Mexico pavilion, and the special events and concerts at the holidays and throughout the year. Epcot provides us with new experiences and surprises every time we go - which can be multiple times in a week during the Flower & Garden and Food & Wine Festivals!
